Factor Bioscience to Present Advanced RNA Methodologies and Latest Preclinical Data on Engineered Cell Therapies at ISSCR 2026
July 8, 2026
– The preclinical data to be presented at ISSCR 2026 includes positive results from an in vivo study, in which an MDX model of Muscular Dystrophy was treated with Factor’s engineered, hypoimmune iMSCs
– The presentations also include novel methods for RNA-based cell reprogramming and iCardiomyocyte differentiation as well as new data characterizing the efficacy of IL12-secreting iMacrophages (FACT-112) in a Glioblastoma Multiforme spheroid model
CAMBRIDGE, Mass., July 8, 2026 — Factor Bioscience Inc., a Cambridge-based biotechnology company focused on using its pioneering gene-editing platform to develop life-saving cell and gene therapies, announced its participation in the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) Annual Meeting to be held in Montreal, Canada July 8-11, 2026, at which Factor will deliver one oral presentation and three poster presentations.
With our participation in ISSCR 2026, we reaffirm our commitment to all patients in need of advanced therapeutics,” said Dr. Matt Angel, Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO of Factor. “We are excited to present our latest innovations and preclinical data, spark new collaborations, accelerate our momentum, and broadly share our vision for the future on a global stage.”
Dr. Kyle Garland, Vice President of Research & Development at Factor, added, “Allogeneic cell therapies, derived from RNA-reprogrammed stem cells, are among the most promising therapeutic candidates currently in development, as they enable streamlined engineering workflows, batch-to-batch consistency, and remarkable scalability. The data presented at ISSCR 2026 substantiate our approach for refining RNA methodologies and utilizing them to facilitate the development of such next-generation therapies.”
