Factor Bioscience is seeking an exceptional candidate to join our team as Associate Scientist. In this position, you will create advanced mRNA and cell-engineering technologies for the development of new medicines for patients with devastating diseases including Parkinson’s disease, Crohn’s disease, dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa, and cancer.
As an Associate Scientist at Factor, you will
- Design and execute molecular biology, microbiology, and cell biology experiments
- Lead synthetic and analytical method process development
- Invent new mRNA, cell-engineering, and nucleic-acid delivery technologies
- Collaborate with our academic and industrial partners to design and execute pre-clinical and clinical studies
- Present your results at weekly group meetings and at national and international conferences
Our ideal candidate has
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, with research experience (degree in engineering, chemistry, or biology preferred)
- Working knowledge of molecular biology, microbiology, and cell-biology laboratory techniques
- A strong desire to create transformational technologies for the development of new medicines
- A love of science, an insatiable curiosity, and a willingness to tackle challenging projects
- Authorization to work in the United States
